Library Card Sign-Up Month 2026: A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes!

This September, it's Library Card Sign-Up Month at the Flagstaff City - Coconino County Public Library! Celebrate with us starting 9/1 to 9/30/2026.

The Library is partnering with over 50 local businesses ALL MONTH LONG to bring you more than one reason to get your library card. When you present your Flagstaff library card to a participating business, you will receive a fun reward in return, such as a discount, a free item or another awesome surprise! Partnerships between libraries and local businesses are also highlighted by the American Library Association as an effective way to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and connect libraries with their communities. Each location is offering something different, so take this chance to visit as many businesses on our community map as possible.

A map of participating businesses and their offers will be available at both the Downtown Library and East Flagstaff Community Library, as well as online, making it easy to plan your stops throughout the month.

 

We will also be celebrating library card-holders this month with a reading punch card challenge. It's simple: get your library card, check something out, and put that item to use, whether you are reading a book, watching a DVD, listening to an audiobook, or using something from the Library of Things. Have a staff member punch all 3, and you are entered into a raffle. (Winners will be announced the first week of October).
